This morning the kids alerted us to the fact that our dog had delivered a duck to our door. Sure enough, here he was! We rescued the little guy from our dog's mouth and surprisingly he was completely unhurt. I have never seen a gosling so this was pretty cool. The kids put him in a bucket and brought him back to the slough where his parents happily took him back.
About an hour or so after that, we see 2 large Canadian Geese hustling around the front of Barn 1. The geese are waddling--not flying and seemed to have been herding their little runaway gosling back to the slough....again. This made us all laugh and the children, immediately seeing the connection, named the little gosling Courtney #2.
This made my day!!!
